Campaign

A campaign? What's this? Well, I got an idea. I saw Ani DiFranco in concert and I was, quite frankly, annoyed straight to hell. Why, you might be asking yourself? Well, her fans were SCREAMING the entire concert. Whenever they could, they would make noise, sing along, stand up in front of everyone so they could all get a good view of her, they would yell things at her like "WE LOVE YOU!" and "YOU ROCK!". Well, Ani always makes it very clear that she can't hear a damn word that is screamed at her. It was then that it made me realize, although I still love her music, but I am not longer a fangirl. So I thought about it. I used to be a big 'ol fan girl of The Scarlet Pimpernel, and although I still love it, but I've calmed down a bit. Finally, I'm scanning over friends journals and I see all these little icons for fanlistings and I thought, "Why not a 'fanlisting' for those of us who have regained our senses?" Well, here it is! Recovering Fangirls. Welcome kiddies.

Here's the deal: You right click on the icons below and save them on your website. DO NOT REMOTE LINK THE IMAGES FROM MY SITE OR I KILL YOU WITH STICKS. Post these little icons on the profile of your blog and link them back here so people can pick up which ever ones they like. If you have a request for a "Recovering Fangirls" icon that you would like me to create, then please feel free to e-mail me and I will attempt to fill your request as soon as possible. Now, why not recovering fanboys? Well guys... I'm not a boy so I'm not going to even try to figure out what your normal behavior around celebrities/bands/singer songwriters should be. Maybe, in the future, I might change my mind, but until then, sorry, no dice. :-( After you have selected your Recovering Fangirl icon, then you can link it back here by copy and pasting the code in the box below:

I've Evolved! Ani DiFranco...I'm a rabble-rouser without a cause! Scarlet Pimpernel.

"You know, art is why I get up in the morning but my definition ends there you know it doesn't seem fair that I'm living for something I can't even define and there you are right there in the meantime." - Ani Difranco, "Habit"
